Where Do You Store Urinary Catheters?

Life can throw curve balls without much notice. Many people will need to use different medications or medical equipment throughout their lives. Because of this, you will need to order these products on a regular basis to ensure that you don’t run out of them. One such product that requires recurring orders is the urinary catheter. Urinary catheters can easily be stored in various places throughout your home or office.

One of the best places to store your supply of urinary catheters in the home is in the bathroom medicine cabinet. Keep them with your medications and other medical or first aid supplies so everything is in one place. You won’t have to search throughout the entire house when you need a catheter, making it easier to find the item and then insert it as needed.

If you are confined to your bedroom it might be best for you to store your catheters in your bedroom. You can utilize a nightstand or other piece of furniture specifically for your medical supplies. Being confined to your bedroom is common with some diseases or illnesses. To make things better on you, and improve your quality of life, it’s best to keep your supplies as close to you as possible.

Are you still able to go to work with your illness? If so, you will need to bring your urinary catheters with you to the office. This can be embarrassing for some, which means you will want to hide the supplies as much as possible. You can bring these supplies to work in your briefcase, a backpack, or another bag. You can then store the catheters in a desk drawer that locks so no one can steal them.

The next time you need to learn how to catheterize, be sure you have enough urinary catheters with you so you never run out of supplies.
